This has been the season for concerts. Some better some worse. We started with Matisyahu and 311 during August, and then last night we were at the Show box in Seattle to see Colbie Caillat. It was a funny thing cause 95% of the time t he opening act is lame lame lame. This was not the case last night. The first band which was local from Seattle was called the Vicci Martinez Band( www.viccimartinez.com ). My good friend Russ was there and his comment about her voice was this “It jumps up and says, HEY look at me!!”. So anyway she was great, and sang with heart and passion and sometimes in the music business thats hard to come by. Passionate people singing about something worth listening to. So after she preformed Tyrone Wells (www.tyronewells.com) took center stage and put on a great show. He sang several songs that had the crowd singing along with him, and he would even step away from the microphone and although the crowd carry the tune. Its always great when musicians have fun with what they do, and thats exactly what Tyrone did, he had fun doing what he seems to love doing. He even broke out some old school Police and sang a little bit of Roxanne, and Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On. All in all it was a great night, and even found a new artist that we will enjoy to listen to.
This is a video clip of Tyrone Wells Singing Sea Breeze.
